Christian Richardson, a wizard behind the bar, will oversee the drinks program at Kismet Modern Indian as well as its sister restaurant, Karma Modern Indian. A D.C. native, Christian worked as a bartender at Karma before a recent stint as master mixologist at Doyle in the Dupont Circle Hotel. Prior to that, he also spent time at Crimson, a restaurant and whiskey bar inside the Motto hotel by Hilton.
Christian is a dedicated and skilled member of the team — and a creative genius in the art of cocktails. He is a proponent of using only the freshest ingredients, including house-made syrups, tinctures, and garnishes whenever possible. Christian is especially fascinated by the versatility of bourbon and gin and uses these often on his seasonal menus.
When enjoying a day off, Christian likes to settle in with a well-made daiquiri in his hand.
